Leave No Trace

Troop 17 is a strong proponent of Leave No Trace (LNT) and its principles.   The Troop has many adult leaders who have been through the required training to become Leave No Trace Trainers through ​LNT.org.

Scouts and those associated with Troop 17 should always remember and follow the 7 principles of Leave no Trace:

• Plan Ahead and Prepare
• Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
• Dispose of Waste Properly
• Leave What You Find
• Minimize Campfire Impacts
• Respect Wildlife
• Be Considerate of Others
